Multiple OS
Learn how you can transform your server from the starting with a selection of Multiple Operating Systems.
Every single personal computer or web server is run by an Operating System - the low-level program that communicates with the computer hardware, including peripherals such as a mouse and a printer, together with any applications that are currently installed on the system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the Operating System. On a web server, each application runs within the parameters defined by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etc. This is valid for both standard Internet site scripts and server-side software such as a media server. If a virtual server is generated on a physical one, there can be two independent Operating Systems, referred to as guest OS and host OS, which means that you'll be able to set up a different software environment on the very same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
Our
VPS server packages feature three Linux releases which you could select from for the Operating System of your new server - Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. Aside from being free, the OSs are really stable and risk-free and the reason to offer you all 3 of them is to ensure that you'll be able to run each application that you'd like, as different pieces of software have different requirements with regards to the environment they work on. Each of the three OSs is backed by a huge community of web developers who have developed many hundreds of software packages that you can install and use on your VPS. Depending on the Operating System that you choose, you will also be able to choose between three different Control Panels to handle your website hosting content. Needless to say, if you decide that you need some other OS, we could always re-install the server with it. As an additional upgrade, we also offer weekly updates of the OS for optimum stability and security.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
If you decide to acquire one of our
dedicated servers, you'll find three Operating Systems on the order page because we want to give you a wider choice regarding the system environment on the machine as different applications could have specific requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian feature different modules developed by their huge support communities, so you can select any of these OSs and take advantage of a stable and risk-free hosting service. Based on your choice, you'll also have different Control Panels to choose from. Of course, we can always change the Operating System if the one you've selected initially doesn't meet the requirements of the software that you intend to run. We can also update the OS routinely to keep it as risk-free as possible through our Managed Services upgrade package.
